Turnip Republic

Open house event, Thursday Oct 25 4 —9PM

Dynasty Studio, 136 Avenue Road, Toronto

Embracing the creeping darkness of October, the gallery welcomes Turnip Republic, a new exhibit by Jerry Ropson. Cheap, ubiquitous and hearty, the turnip is lowly vegetable that can grow in Newfoundland, a climate with little soil and harsh winters. Conjuring the turnip as dark and playful motif in a new series of drawings, banners and objects. Ropson's imagery crafts an eloquent Sci fi legend for a place, people and culture who exist at the edge of imagination.
